Course Description
The Standard First Aid CPR and AED for HealthCare Providers Course contains up-to-date content and science from the 2010 Guidelines for First Aid, CPR and ECC. In this course, you will learn the essential skills of patient care to protect and support the life of a suddenly ill or injured person until emergency medical services arrive. Instruction will cover first aid skills such as those that help in the control of bleeding, shock management, stabilizing fractures and dislocations. The Standard First Aid BLS for Healthcare Provider © course encompasses the full content of the Standard First Aid course and the additional course content of the HSF Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider © program. The addition of the BLS for Healthcare Provider ©class is designed to teach a variety of health-care professionals how to recognize a number of life-threatening emergencies, how to provide CPR, how to use an AED and how to relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
