ECG Interpretation & Arrhythmia Management
Course Description
This is a 6-day-didactic and comprehensive 15-lead-ECG interpretation and arrhythmia management course offered to nurses who are working in the critical care unit, step down and/or other RNs who simply want to learn the ECG course. This program enables participants develop the highest degree of confidence and able to interpret and manage common, complex, and lethal arrhythmias with greater ease and accuracy through their improved skills utilizing the 15-lead ECG.
At the completion of this course, student will be able to:
Determine knowledge application on anatomy, cardio electrophysiology and arrhythmia interpretation
Understand the basic principle of 15-lead ECG monitoring
Recognize a variety of arrhythmias commonly encountered in the critical care unit, ER, and step down unit
Assess for Myocardial Infarction, normal axis deviation and electrolytes, pharmacotherapeutics
Describe the pathology of acute coronary syndrome and myocardial infarction
Demonstrate correct procedure for placement and monitoring of 15-lead-ECG
Understand the significance of defibrillation, cardioversion, and other treatment modalities
